When Fear Tries to Lead

Scripture:

“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
— Galatians 6:9 (NIV)

Reflection:
Obedience can feel heavy when the harvest hasn’t yet appeared. Yet every obedient step—big or small—is stored in heaven and carries eternal significance. God measures faithfulness, not immediate fruitfulness.

Practical Steps:

  1. Review your obedience log. Track your “yeses”—prayers prayed, acts of generosity, hard conversations. Celebrate these weekly.
  2. Remember the harvest promise. After Galatians 6:9, where you can see it. When weariness comes, let that promise renew your strength.
  3. Rest in the process. Schedule spiritual rhythms—Sabbath, retreat, silence—to renew your soul and sustain obedience.

Prayer:

Father, when obedience feels heavy and the harvest seems distant, renew my strength. Help me persevere, trusting that in due time I will see Your faithfulness. Amen.
